Do Filipinos need a visa for Singapore?

No. The Philippines is not on ICA’s list of countries whose travel documents need a Singapore visa. At the checkpoint you receive a Visit Pass, and that pass decides how long you may stay, so check the date it shows.

ICA’s general entry rules for visitors:

  • Passport valid for at least 6 months
  • Proof of onward travel, such as your return ticket
  • Enough cash or funds for your stay
  • A yellow fever certificate only if you were in a yellow fever risk country in the six days before arrival

SG Arrival Card: free, three days before

Every traveller submits the SG Arrival Card with electronic health declaration before arriving. You can submit within three days before your arrival date, counting the arrival day, through the ICA website or the MyICA Mobile app. It is free. ICA warns that commercial sites charging a fee are not affiliated with it.

Before you leave the Philippines

Two quick things on the Manila side, covered in our guide to the Philippine travel tax:

  1. Travel tax: PHP 1,620 in economy, unless your ticket already includes it or you are exempt.
  2. eTravel: free registration between 72 hours and 3 hours before departure.

4-day Singapore itinerary for Filipino travellers

Day 1: Arrive at Changi and Marina Bay

Before leaving the airport, walk over to Jewel Changi to see the indoor waterfall. Check in, then head to Marina Bay for the waterfront skyline and an evening at Gardens by the Bay, where the Garden Rhapsody light show at the Supertree Grove is free at 7.45pm and 8.45pm.

Day 2: Gardens, Chinatown and hawker food

Morning at the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest (SGD 46 for both) if you want the indoor gardens, or skip them to save money. Afternoon in Chinatown: the temples, the shophouse streets and a late lunch at a hawker centre. Dinner tip: chicken rice and laksa are filling and cheap.

Day 3: Kampong Glam, Little India and Sentosa

Walk the colourful lanes of Kampong Glam and Little India, then spend the afternoon on Sentosa’s beaches. The beaches themselves are free; theme parks are optional splurges.

Day 4: Southern Ridges and fly home

Do the Southern Ridges walk and Henderson Waves bridge for green views, pick up souvenirs, and head back to Changi with time to spare.

Budget tips

  • Eat at hawker centres. It is where Singaporeans eat, and your pesos stretch much further.
  • Use a contactless card or a transit card on the MRT and buses instead of taxis.
  • Carry a water bottle; tap water in Singapore is safe to drink.
  • Plan an indoor backup (museums, malls, Jewel) for afternoon rain.
